Make the Most of the Time

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”  Ephesians 5:15-17

As I have entered the “Moment to Moment”, I see clearly the things that are most precious. I am shocked at how much I took for granted before and how much I was unaware of all the beauty that surrounded me daily. Pain has a way of showing you the blessings in life that you didn’t know were there or perhaps, maybe you forgot. Simple things that we dismiss when things are normal and life is fine. How I long to go back to those days and shake myself and tell that “me” to rejoice over the normal…normal is so very beautiful, simple is a gift. We desire things that matter so little when the things that matter most go flying by.

Now that pain has become my constant companion, I find the simple things to be even more precious. When I get to spend moments with my children where the pain is not screaming at me or my mind is not struggling, it is something I can’t explain. It’s beyond my ability to write how much the little things matter, so treasure them. Serving the Lord as a mother and wife is a gift. Living well for Jesus in that way is something we should never take for granted.

Be thankful every day for the beautiful, little things as there is nothing truly little about them. Worship the Lord with your time. Don’t let one minute be wasted. We are only given today to live. Live it well for Jesus!

I like the phrase “Live it well for Jesus! ” that pretty much says it all.
    Thanks and well done.
